Whataroa River Heli-Rafting on the West Coast

of New Zealand

Grade 3-4

The Whataroa River is a stunning example of New Zealand’s West Coast Rivers. It is renowned for the quality of the water, not only in the form of the many rapids but also for its amazing colour. Glacier fed from the mountains of the Southern Alps, the water is a mixture between turquoise and a milky hue.

The Whataroa is Grade 3-4 and contains exciting, shorter rapids with three stunning gorges. The surroundings are astounding, with grand backdrops of untouched green terrain, snow-capped peaks and glaciers.

Every time we return from this trip, we carry a new a sense of achievement, inspiration and wonder. We also warn you, you may feel compelled to return!
